Hypertext is simply a method for linking related information. A single hypertext link is known as a "hyperlink." Note that a hyperlink is unidirectional - it can only be followed in one direction. It is, however, possible to create two separate hyperlinks, such as this one which takes you back to the page you were reading when you clicked on the hyperlink that brought you here.
